Saturday begins around Marienplatz

Use Marienplatz to orient yourself, then explore a small part of the old town before your chosen interior visit. The Residenz or another collection can serve as the main event, but check current admission and select according to your interests. Do not assume that proximity allows several major interiors before lunch.

After the visit, eat in the central area and leave time for surrounding streets. Viktualienmarkt may fit, but confirm its trading pattern for the day rather than expecting every stall to operate throughout a weekend. Keep the evening nearby, with a meal or performance only if you want one. A traditional restaurant is an option, not an obligation to drink beer or order a particular dish.

Sunday leaves room for the English Garden

Begin with a gentle central walk, then enter the southern part of the English Garden during comfortable weather. Choose a modest route toward a feature such as the Monopteros or a suitable place to sit. The park extends much farther than you need for this outing, so define an exit rather than walking north indefinitely.

Have lunch or a break at a place whose current operation you have checked, then decide whether to continue a little or return. Keep a route to transit in mind. If your departure is later that day, the garden should be a restorative interval rather than the source of a hurried journey back for bags.

An alternative for persistent rain

Replace the long park block with a second indoor visit that differs from Saturday's collection, leaving space for a relaxed meal. If the weather clears, a short garden interval can still fit. Do not force a wet full-park walk just to preserve the original schedule.

Nymphenburg and farther attractions are omitted from the core weekend. If a palace outing is your priority, substitute it for Sunday's park plan and include travel plus grounds and interiors in the time allowance. The useful idea is to alternate concentrated sightseeing with open space, not to complete every famous place while calling the result relaxed.
